MLTI, formerly known as Moonlight Tube Industries, is an ISO 14001 and 45001 certified Hastelloy C276 pipe manufacturer, supplier and exporter based in Gujarat, India. Hastelloy C276 pipe is a low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy pipe designated as UNS N10276 and W.Nr. 2.4819.

We supply Hastelloy C276 seamless pipe to ASTM B622 / ASME SB-622 and welded / ERW pipe to ASTM B619 / ASME SB-619, in round, square and rectangular section. Seamless C276 pipe carries no longitudinal weld, so the bore stays uniform parent metal throughout. C276 Welded pipe costs less per metre and reaches larger diameters, though ASME B31.3 sets a basic longitudinal weld joint quality factor of 0.80 for a single butt seam made without filler metal, which rises with radiographic examination.
SB-622 sets molybdenum at 15.0–17.0%, chromium at 14.5–16.5% and tungsten at 3.0–4.5%, with nickel as the remainder and carbon limited to 0.010%, which keeps the heat-affected zone serviceable as welded. Solution-annealed C276 pipe carries a minimum tensile strength of 690 MPa (100 ksi), a minimum yield of 283 MPa (41 ksi) and 40% minimum elongation.
As a Hastelloy C276 pipe supplier, our size envelope spans 1/8" NB to 10" NB. SCH 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S follow ASME B36.19M, and SCH 20S is supplied to the wall thickness stated on the order. Chemical processing, flue-gas desulphurisation, sour gas gathering and pulp bleaching are the principal duties for this grade, since chlorides attack austenitic stainless steel at concentrations C276 resists. We supply a manufacturer's certification (suggested by ASTM B622) on every consignment as standard, with PMI records and an EN 10204 3.1 certificate.

As Hastelloy C276 pipe manufacturers, we produce these pipes in seamless and welded forms across round, square, and rectangular profiles, ensuring tailored structural integrity and pressure performance for demanding corrosive environments.

Hastelloy C276 seamless pipe is pierced and extruded from a solid billet, then solution annealed and descaled. No seam runs through the wall, so high-pressure acid and sour duty specify it under ASTM B622.

Welded pipe in this grade is formed from flat-rolled alloy and closed along a longitudinal seam under ASTM B619 / ASME SB-619, by an automatic welding process with no filler metal added, then solution annealed and descaled, which includes Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) among its specified manufacturing methods.

Round is the cross-section that both specifications cover dimensionally, and it accounts for nearly all alloy C276 pipe in service. A circular section spreads hoop stress evenly, which is why pressure piping uses it.

Square sections fall outside the dimensional scope of B622 and B619, so they are supplied to the dimensions stated on the order. They go into structural frames inside corrosive plants, since a flat face simplifies bolting and bracket mounting.

Rectangular sections are ordered to specified face dimensions and wall thickness. Ducting frames and scrubber supports in a flue-gas plant prefer this profile because unequal faces give greater stiffness about one axis.
Nominal bore and schedule define Hastelloy C276 pipe dimensions. The size chart below details the outside diameter and wall thickness.
| Nominal Bore (mm) | Inch | Outside Diameter (mm) | Sch-5S (mm) | Sch-10S (mm) | Sch-20S (mm) | Sch-40S (mm) | Sch-80S (mm) |

| 250 | 10 | 273.10 | 3.40 | 4.19 | 6.35 | 9.27 | 12.70 |
Schedule fixes wall thickness rather than bore, and the relationship does not change with grade: SCH 40S measures 2.77 mm at 1/2" NB against 9.27 mm at 10" NB.
The following five industries account for most Hastelloy C276 applications, and each of them handles process media that attack chromium-nickel steels at working temperature.

Chemical plants run C276 pipe on hydrochloric, sulphuric and phosphoric acid service, covering reactor circuits, dosing lines and acid transfer headers. Molybdenum and tungsten stabilise the passive film under the reducing conditions these duties create.

Absorber recirculation lines and quench inlets in power station scrubbers condense chloride-bearing acid at low pH. Alloy C276 pipe is specified there because it resists low pH and high chloride together, a combination that pits austenitic steel.

Sour wells produce hydrogen sulphide and chlorides together. UNS N10276 sits among the solid-solution nickel alloys accepted for sour service, and C276 pipe serves gathering lines, chemical injection runs, and manifold spools on such installations.

Bleach plants dose chlorine dioxide and hypochlorite at elevated temperatures, while effluent lines carry mixed acids of unpredictable composition. Hastelloy C276 pipes hold up in both because resistance covers oxidising and reducing conditions in one circuit.

Power stations take the grade in scrubber recirculation piping, ash-handling slurry lines and geothermal steam runs. Chloride content climbs with each pass, and the alloy resists the crevice attack that follows.
Hastelloy C276 offers exceptional corrosion resistance, but optimising performance requires precise control over GTAW and ERW welding, specialised machining, and defined chemical exposure limits.
Hastelloy C276 welding is normally performed by GTAW with matching ERNiCrMo-4 filler. The 0.010% carbon ceiling restricts grain-boundary carbide precipitation, so the heat-affected zone retains corrosion resistance, and the pipe serves in the as-welded condition. Welded pipe to ASTM B619 offers a lower-cost route at larger diameters. Its longitudinal seam carries a basic joint quality factor of 0.80 under ASME B31.3, which rises with radiographic examination.
Hastelloy C276 machinability is limited by rapid work hardening at the cut face. Cutting speeds stay low, tooling sharp and workholding rigid, with flood coolant through the cut and interpass temperature held down.
Alloy C276 resists ferric and cupric chlorides, wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide, and handles oxidising and reducing acids alike. Hot concentrated nitric acid is the exception, where a higher-chromium alloy applies.
As a trusted exporter, MLTI ensures every Hastelloy C276 pipe is securely packaged and fully certified for international transit.
Hastelloy C276 pipe price in India ranges from ₹4,000 to ₹7,200 per kg, and international prices range from USD 48–85/kg. Pricing varies with nickel, molybdenum and tungsten markets, quantity, dimensions, manufacturing process, specification and finish.

C276 pipe is a nickel-base alloy carrying 15.0–17.0% molybdenum, 14.5–16.5% chromium, 3.0–4.5% tungsten and 4.0–7.0% iron, with nickel as the remainder and carbon at 0.010% maximum.
Hastelloy C276 pipe is used in chemical processing, flue-gas desulphurisation, sour gas gathering, pulp bleaching, waste treatment and power generation, wherever chlorides or mixed acids occur.
Seamless Hastelloy C276 pipe is supplied to ASTM B622 / ASME SB-622 and welded pipe to ASTM B619 / ASME SB-619, with general requirements to ASTM B829.
Seamless Hastelloy C276 pipe is made to ASTM B622 and has no seam through the wall, which suits high-pressure duty. Welded (ERW) pipe is made to ASTM B619 and costs less per metre at the same bore.
Hastelloy C276 pipe can be welded and used as welded on most services. The 0.010% maximum carbon minimises grain-boundary carbide precipitation, so the heat-affected zone keeps its corrosion resistance.
Hastelloy C276 pipe is expensive because it's nickel-based and carries 15–17% molybdenum with 3-4.5% tungsten, all of which trade at alloy prices. Bore, wall, quantity and process, then set the final figure.
