MLTI Private Limited (Moonlight Tube Industries) has been manufacturing, supplying and exporting 310 stainless steel tube from Gujarat, India, since 2008. We have an annual capacity of 8,000 MT a year. Grade 310 is a high-chromium, high-nickel heat-resisting austenitic stainless steel registered as UNS S31000. The analysis runs 24.0 to 26.0% chromium against 19.0 to 22.0% nickel, with carbon permitted to 0.25% and silicon to 1.50%, which is where the trade shorthand 25/20 stainless comes from. Chromium at that level forms a tightly adherent oxide scale. Nickel in the 19.0 to 22.0% band holds the austenite stable through long thermal soaks.

Solution-annealed 310 stainless tube certifies 515 MPa (75 ksi) minimum tensile strength, 205 MPa (30 ksi) minimum yield, and 35% minimum elongation at a hardness ceiling of 192 HBW. We produce round 310 stainless steel tubing from 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm outside diameter, in 19 BWG to 10 BWG wall seamless and 19 SWG to 10 SWG wall ERW. Square and rectangular sections are made to the dimensions and wall thickness stated on the order. Production includes Stainless steel 310 seamless tubes, which are pierced from solid billets to reliably handle high-pressure thermal cycles, as well as Stainless steel 310 welded tubes, which are roll-formed from flat strips and seam-fused, including high-frequency ERW options forged under pressure without filler metal. Oxidation resistance under mildly cyclic conditions extends to 1093°C (2000°F), which puts 310 SS tubing into furnace radiant sections, refinery heater supports, kiln hardware and gasifier internals. Toughness is retained to -268°C (-450°F) for liquefied-gas circuits. Our company holds ISO 14001 and 45001 certification with BIS, EIL, IBR and PED 2014/68/EU approvals, and every lot is released against an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate.
Grade 310 tubes are ordered to UNS S31000 chemistry, with construction, tolerances, and conditions as per the ordered specification below.

| Wall thickness | 1.07 mm to 3.40 mm (19 BWG to 10 BWG). ERW: 1.016 mm to 3.251 mm (19 SWG to 10 SWG). |
| Length | Cut to the ordered length |
| Delivery condition | Solution annealed at 1040°C (1900°F) minimum, water quenched or rapidly cooled by other means |
| Finish | Mill finish; annealed and pickled; bright annealed; polished to order |

One point deserves stating plainly, since published material glosses over it. Not one of those specifications carries a plain TP310 grade row; they index the 25Cr-20Ni family under carbon-restricted and creep-rated designations only, and ASTM A269 omits the family. Grade 310 tube is certified to the registered UNS S31000 analysis.
The SS 310 chemical composition is the registered UNS S31000 analysis: 24.0 to 26.0% chromium with 19.0 to 22.0% nickel, carbon to 0.25% and silicon to 1.50%. Element limits for grade 310 stainless steel tube are given in the table below.
| Element | Composition, % by mass |
|---|---|
| Carbon (C) | 0.25 max |
| Manganese (Mn) | 2.00 max |
| Phosphorus (P) | 0.045 max |
| Sulphur (S) | 0.030 max |
| Silicon (Si) | 1.50 max |
| Chromium (Cr) | 24.0 to 26.0 |
| Nickel (Ni) | 19.0 to 22.0 |
| Iron (Fe) | Balance |
Carbon at 0.25% maximum is a deliberate heat-resistance allowance. Against an 18/8 analysis, the extra chromium and nickel are what the premium buys.
Minima are certified in the solution-annealed condition. Tensile strength, yield, elongation and the hardness ceiling that ASTM A213 / ASME SA-213 set for 25Cr-20Ni tube are represented in the table given below.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Tensile strength, min | 515 MPa (75 ksi) |
| Yield strength, 0.2% offset, min | 205 MPa(30 ksi) |
| Elongation in 50 mm (2 in.), min | 35% |
| Hardness, max | 192 HBW / 90 HRB |
The international designations equivalent to 310 SS Tube are listed in the table given below, along with the country and standards.

Stainless Steel 310 Tubing is produced on two manufacturing routes in three section profiles. Seamless and welded (ERW) cover construction; round, square and rectangular cover the profile side of the range.

310 seamless tube is pierced from a solid billet and drawn to size, so no longitudinal weld exists in the wall. Radiant elements and exchanger bundles are the usual destinations.

Welded 310 tube is formed from slit strip and fused using electric resistance welding (ERW) without filler, matching parent metal chemistry. Each length is solution treated, quenched, and fully inspected, providing thin walls and large diameters at lower costs.

Round section is the highest-volume profile, produced 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm outside diameter across six BWG gauges seamless and six SWG gauges ERW. Radiant tubes, thermowell stock, burner components and instrument runs specify round 310 stainless tubing.

Square 310 tube is welded box section, produced to the dimension and wall thickness stated on the order. Furnace frames, charge carriers, muffle supports and conveyor structures inside heat-treatment plant take this profile.

Rectangular 310 tube follows the same welded route as square section. Members carrying bending load about a single axis are specified, and dimensions are agreed at order stage rather than from stock.
SS310 tubes cover eleven outside diameters from 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm, with wall set by gauge rather than any bore-based system: BWG on the seamless route and SWG on the ERW route. Outside diameters against the six gauge walls of each route, with weight per metre, are given in the tables below.
| Size | OD (mm) | 10 BWG (3.40 mm) Weight/MTR | 12 BWG (2.77 mm) Weight/MTR | 14 BWG (2.11 mm) Weight/MTR | 16 BWG (1.65 mm) Weight/MTR | 18 BWG (1.25 mm) Weight/MTR | 19 BWG (1.07 mm) Weight/MTR |

Rolled stainless steel tubing outside that band is produced to order.
The 310 stainless steel oxidation limit under mildly cyclic conditions, 1093°C (2000°F), governs where the grade earns its cost. Six industries are covered below.

Retorts, muffles, radiant tubes, annealing covers and burner sleeves are built in this grade because the oxide scale re-forms after each thermal cycle rather than spalling. Heat Resistant Stainless Steel 310 Tube holds its section through repeated cycles.

Fired heater tube hangers and support hardware sit in flue gas at temperatures that scale lower-chromium material. Reformer and cracker duty adds carbon pickup, and chromium at 24.0 to 26.0% slows carburisation of the tube wall.

Fluidised-bed combustors and gasifier internals operate in hot, reducing, sulphur-bearing gas. Alloy 310 tubing is specified for internal circuits there, where nickel at 19.0 to 22.0% keeps the structure austenitic through long holds at temperature.

Kiln burner hardware, preheater cyclone fittings and clinker cooler components meet abrasive dust at temperature. Heat-resisting 310 stainless tube serves thermocouple protection and air-injection assemblies, where scaling losses would otherwise force annual replacement.

Tunnel ovens, roasters and conveyor furnaces use Stainless 310 Tube in radiant sections and frames. Scale resistance matters to the product here: oxide spalled from a lower grade drops onto whatever passes beneath.

Liquefied-gas handling takes the grade in the opposite thermal direction. Grade 310 Stainless Steel Tube keeps impact toughness to -268°C (-450°F) and stays effectively non-magnetic, which suits cold boxes and liquefaction circuits.
Welding 310 stainless steel uses the common arc processes with matching AWS ER310 filler wire or E310-15 covered electrodes, without pre-heat. Where the applicable specification requires it, welds are re-solution annealed at 1040 °C (1900 °F) minimum and water quenched. On 310 stainless steel machinability, the alloy work hardens rapidly, so positive-rake tooling and a firm feed beat light passes for tool life. Two service limits matter. Prolonged exposure between roughly 650°C and 950°C precipitates sigma phase and embrittles the material at room temperature; a severely carburising atmosphere needs a higher-nickel alloy.
Our Stainless Steel 310 tubes are carefully packed for safe handling and export. Each bundle is secured, labeled, and prepared according to order requirements to ensure reliable delivery.
The SS 310 price is approximately ₹650–₹950 per kg and US$7.60–11.10 per kg. Nickel and chromium input costs vary, so we quote the day's rate against a size list and don't publish a fixed table. Seven variables set it: outside diameter, wall gauge, section profile, order quantity, route, finish and governing standard.
Buyers return to Moonlight Tubes for certified material, approved grades and stock that ships on schedule. Every order is backed by documented quality, a wide size range and delivery commitments we hold to.
Grade 310 tube resists oxidation under mildly cyclic conditions to 1093°C (2000°F), and keeps impact toughness down to -268°C (-450°F).
Seamless construction follows ASTM A213 / ASME SA-213, welded ASTM A249 / ASME SA-249. Mechanical tubing follows ASTM A511, and general-service ERW tube follows ASTM A554.
SS 310 tube carries 24.0 to 26.0% chromium and 19.0 to 22.0% nickel, with carbon to 0.25% max, manganese to 2.00% max and silicon to 1.50% max. Iron is the balance.
Solution-annealed stainless steel 310 tube certifies 515 MPa (75 ksi) minimum tensile strength, 205 MPa (30 ksi) minimum yield and 35% minimum elongation.
The 310 stainless steel vs 316 decision turns on the attack mechanism. Scaling at temperature calls for 310; warm chloride solutions call for 316 tube and its 2.00 to 3.00% molybdenum.
On the 309 vs 310 stainless steel question, 309 runs 22.0 to 24.0% chromium with 12.0 to 15.0% nickel, giving a lower scaling ceiling. In a 310 vs 330 stainless steel comparison, alloy 330 suits carburising atmospheres on higher nickel.
Welding 310 stainless steel uses the standard arc processes with AWS ER310 filler wire or E310-15 electrodes. Pre-heat isn't needed.
Round 310 stainless steel tubing runs 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm outside diameter, in wall from 1.07 mm (19 BWG) to 3.40 mm (10 BWG) seamless, and from 1.016 mm (19 SWG) to 3.251 mm (10 SWG) ERW. Square and rectangular sections are made to order.
